Home Depot.com EDI Integration

Jan 23, 2018 8:55:43 AM / by Jeff Keltz

If you are reading this, you may be interested in becoming a drop ship supplier for HomeDepot.com. EDI integrations can take a lot of time, but fortunately Logicbroker is already certified with HomeDepot.com. This means that Logicbroker has successfully mapped the Home Depot EDI specifications, and simply connecting to Logicbroker is all that is needed to begin trading EDI documents in their spec.

Getting Started

HomeDepot.com uses CommerceHub as its EDI provider. To start the EDI integration, you will first need to get in touch with someone at Home Depot, and someone at CommerceHub.

Step 1: Reach out to Home Depot Sales. Let them know you want to begin trading EDI documents with them.

Step 2: Reach out to Logicbroker. Let us know you are looking to leverage our platform to integrate with Home Depot.com. Once setup with us, or if you already are, you will be assigned a representative.

Step 3: Connect with the CommerceHub testing analyst.

Step 4: Introduce your Logicbroker representative to the CommerceHub testing representative.

Exchanging EDI Information

CommerceHub will provide to you an EDI questionnaire. The questionnaire will ask questions pertaining to communication methods, and EDI identifiers.

EDI Identifiers

Logicbroker will assign you an EDI Qualifier and Identifier:

  • Example Qualifier: ZZ
  • Example Identifier: LB123456

Communication Method

Logicbroker supports the following communication methods with CommerceHub

  • SFTP
  • AS2
  • VAN (Value Added Network)*

*SFTP and AS2 are the preferred communication methods

Logicbroker will set you up in both a staging (stageportal.logicbroker.com) and production environment (portal.logicbroker.com). Logicbroker will then work with the assigned test analyst to exchange connection information and test in both environments to ensure the connection is working properly. EDI Documents

Home Depot.com requires the following EDI documents:

  • 850 (Purchase Order)
  • 856 (Advance Shipment Notice)
  • 810 (Invoice)
  • 846 (Inventory)
  • 820 (Payment Order/Remittance Advice)
  • Packing Slip

Logicbroker supports full automation of the Purchase order, ASN, Invoice, Inventory, and also allows you to easily download the Home Depot branded packing slip. If needed Logicbroker can use your provided data to populate the packing slip, as well as download it in a variety of different formats (PDF, .jpeg, Zebra, etc.)

What next?

You may have noticed, that all you need to do is tell Logicbroker you want to trade with Home Depot.com, and send us the needed Shipment, Invoice, and Inventory documentation. That is all that is required!

Logicbroker coordinates directly with you and CommerceHub to complete the testing scenarios. Once complete, you are ready to go live, and are officially within the Home Depot.com EDI partner network.
